Copyright and Attribution are serious issues to consider when choosing to use images and sound created by others.
As listed here, there are many free image and sound resources which are ethically available from existing repositories under Creative Commons (CC) licensing. Author attribution is often all that is required to use these images and sounds for non commercial use.
Creative Commons and ‘non licensed’ search engines

Please note that CC has no control over the results that are returned. You must check that the work is actually under a CC license by following the link. Please check the type of CC license and its usage terms before downloading.
